Bath Farmers’ Market is always glad to accept donations to support the Maine Harvest Bucks program, which provides a 50% match in Maine Harvest Bucks for SNAP customers to use to buy fresh fruits and vegetables (as well as food-bearing seedlings). (SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps.)

 

People who make a minimum donation of $20 will receive a Bath Farmers Market/Maine Harvest Bucks tote bag as thanks for their support.  

 

Tote bags are available at the Maine Harvest Bucks table near the center of the market on Commercial Street during the outdoor market.

 

Our Harvest Bucks tote bags are individually cut, hand-stitched and screen-printed by Enviro-Tote™, Inc., a woman-owned and operated company in New Hampshire. They are sturdy, gusseted, cotton canvas bags, with ample room for your market purchases. The Harvest Bucks logo printed on each bag celebrates the Harvest Bucks program at the Bath Farmers Market (and at many other farmers markets throughout the state) for making fresh, healthy, local food at the Bath Farmers’ Market affordable to all members of the community.
